Animal Friendly Makeup Brushes
As we all know how important makeup is we must know that the tools in which we use are of importance.
My brushes are perhaps the most important thing in my makeup kit and I covet them.
However, since I have switched to an entirely “eco-concious, cruelty free makeup kit” my brushes had to go as well.
A very sad YET liberating experience!
I have always compensated by buying taklon brushes at paint stores however large powder brushes and crease brushes have been hard to come by.
I would buy an assortment and end up cutting them down to get they shape I wanted.
Recently I discovered Aveda’s flax-stick brushes and I must say I am “in love!”
The handles are made of flaxseed and resin and the metal ferrules are recyclable.
The bristles are made of taklon, a vegan cruelty-free synthetic fiber and packaged in a 100% biodegradeable plant based cellulose bag.
They feel great in your hand, are light weight and the handle represents the perfect length and width.
Number 6 eye contour brush is my favorite however they are all a must.
It is now possible to feel great about your makeup application as you know for sure NO animal has been harmed in the making of these brushes.
I recommend you purchase them as soon as possible because you never know how long they will be around.
There are other companies that offer synthetic brushes such as Eco Tools and such however these are TRULY the best I have found.
HONEST.
THANKS Aveda for helping SAVE the animals!
