Kate Beckinsale’s Stunning Look

Kate Beckinsale’s Stunning Look

Kate Beckinsale is such a beauty. Her light touch of makeup not only looks fresh, it captures what I feel to be the essence of true sophistication. Shown here at the seventeenth annual Cinema Against AIDS Gala, held May 20th, 2010 at the Cannes Film Festival, Kate’s stunning yet simple makeup application is the perfect example of how incredibly important balance truly is when it comes to makeup.

Here is how to achieve this look with all natural makeup:

1. Before applying makeup, be sure skin is thoroughly moisturized by using a hydrating mask such as Duchess Marden’s Hydrating Masque. I love this product because the texture of the skin thoroughly improves by leaving it on for just 15 minutes.

2. Apply ZUZU Concealer in your shade choice to lids of eyes. Blend by patting into skin with your ring finger, stopping once it is dry. Set with a light translucent powder such as Dr. Hauschka’s Translucent Facial Powder.

3. Apply Colouer Caramel Eyeshadow in Plum Brown #44 to tops of eyelids ONLY. Be sure to keep the concentration of color close to lash line in order to maintain a clean look for the the eyes.

4. Curl lashes and apply a soft coat of black mascara such as Honeybee Gardens Mascara in Black Magic to the top lashes, keeping the application specifically to the root of the lash. Apply a light coat of mascara to the lower lashes – gently comb through lashes for a single yet thin coat.

5. Apply Honeybee Gardens Eye Pencil in Jet Set to the inner lash line of the eyes.

6. Beautiful skin is the most important feature here, so pay close attention and be sure to blend your foundation well into the skin. Tarte’s ReCreate Foundation is perfect for this look as it is quite sheer so it will not give you a “mask effect”. Go over any areas that need extra coverage with a concealer such as Jane Iredale Circle Delete Cream Concealer.

7. Lightly dust your face with a translucent powder.

8. For cheeks I love Organic Wear Blush in Soft Ginger for this look, as it gives just a hint of color/shine with just one sweep.

9. A PERFECT Brow is a must so be sure you have plucked the night before to avoid any redness or irritation. I like working with Colouer Caramel’s Eyebrow Pencil to fill in brows. Be sure to not make the eyebrow look too heavy. Just fill in the holes and set with Jane Iredale Pure Brow Fix Gel.

10. Last but not least, apply a simple pink mouth with Rodin Olio Lusso Lip Balm.
