New Years Eve Picture-Perfect Makeup
When I think of New Years Eve I think of cameras flashing everywhere so you better be looking your best. The following look is fantastic on blondes, brunettes and red-heads alike.

1. Eyes: Apply eye shadow first before concealer, foundation, and finishing powder to ensure that you are able to make a clean sweep with a baby wipe or tissue to remove any extra shadow that may have fallen below the eyes. First apply a smokey black eyeshadow like Jane Iredale’s Eye Shadow in Charcoal that can be found in the Jane Iredale Daytime Eye Shadow Kit. Apply over eyelid and under the lower lash line. To give the eyes a really beautiful pop, apply Josie Maran’s Pewter Eye shadow on top to create depth. The Pewter color illuminates your eye giving it an iradescent glow that is perfect for pictures. Finish the eyes by curling lashes and applying Honeybee Gardens Mascara in black.
2. Skin: Because you can expect to be sweating it up while dancing the night away, it is a good idea to use a concealer so you don’t end up with a full face of makeup that comes off as you sweat. I like to use RMS Beauty’s “Un-coverup” Concealer under the eyes and around the nose and mouth. This will give your skin a fresh look without feeling and seeming overly made up. This concealer is fabulous for spot treating certain areas that you want to cover up, because it has great lasting power and comes in a small jar that you can throw in your purse should you need a touch up.
3. Highlighter: RMS Beauty Luminizer highlighter on cheek bones and ridge of nose and inside corner of eyes to give the skin a bit of a glow so that it reflects light.
4. Cheeks and Lips: Apply a lip/cheek stain with fingers to cheek bones and lips. Use RMS Beauty’s Lip2Cheek stain in Illusive – a matte burnt rose with a hint of plum, or perhaps just a gloss as you might be kissing the night away with Living Nature Lip Gloss in Berry Essence or Natural.
6. Finishing Powder: Finish the look by apply Jane Iredale’s Pure Matte Finishing Powder with a small powder brush to forehead, under eyes, corners of the nose and the chin.
