“The Sexiest Makeup Look Of All Time” ~ The Winged Eyeliner
Allure.com recently listed their “15 Sexiest Makeup Looks Of All Time”, and I tend to agree. So I decided to choose my top 5 favorites and recreate them with step by step guides on our “DIY Girls” so you can learn how to achieve these looks using eco-friendly natural makeup. Get ready to look and feel glamorously green and sexy by using all natural makeup to create one of “The Sexiest Makeup Looks Of All Time” for your next day or night out.
Look 1: Winged Eyeliner
I have always loved the look of a sleek bold eyeliner. Bridget Bardot and Audrey Hepurn are two great examples of how to make an eyeliner sexy and sophisticated. Black tends to be the most dramatic choice however there are different shades to choose from if you desire a bit of color. I tend to like eyeliner with translucent skin, a pale cheek and nude lip, so the attention goes straight to the eye. A bold mouth is also an option especially with the fall trends being so eighties inspired.
1. I like to use Jane Iredale Cream To Powder Eyeliner in black with Earth’s Beauty Eyeliner Brush. Using a liquid eyeliner with a good brush allows for a smooth application and makes it easier to build the volume of your eyeliner.
2. Start by deciding your shape. You have the option to take the line more horizontal towards the hairline drawing your eye outwards (Bridget Bardot) or by taking the tip of the liner up towards outer eyebrow giving you a more cat like shape (Audrey Hepburn).
3. Next, look into a well lit mirror lifting your chin up while looking down into the mirror. With your left hand ring finger, pull the outside of your eye gently stretching the skin taut. This will help define your shape and allows the liner to go on more smoothly.
4. Apply a very thin line at the edge of your inner eyelashes allowing it to thicken as the line goes closer towards the outside corner. Take a step back and look at your shape, you can always go back and layer.
5. Use a thin concealer brush dipped gently in liquid eye-remover to clean edges if need be.
6. When curling lashes be sure to not over curl, as you want to maintain an almond shaped effect to the eye.
7. Apply a thick layer of mascara to upper lashes while lightly dusting the bottom.
Good Luck and Enjoy!

Nov 3rd, 2009I finally sat myself down and was surprised at how easy this was! I looked amazing and received multiple compliments during my night out. I always thought that this look might be a bit too dramatic for me, but it was PERFECT! Thank you Christy Coleman!
