“The Sexiest Makeup Look Of All Time” ~ The Smoky Eye

Whether you are going out on the town or simply throwing your hair back in a pony, a smokey eye is a definite way to “sex up” your look. Here is our next DIY look that takes you through the steps on how to create a sexy smokey eye using eco-friendly products.

Look 3: The Smoky Eye

1. Apply a translucent powder to the lid to remove any excess oil from skin to create a clean and even canvas.

2. Next, apply your eye color. I like to use Dr. Hauska’s Eyeshadow Solo in Smoky Gray #4, and apply it all over the eyelid with a crease brush, feathering the color out to brow bone. I prefer using a dark shade with a bit of shimmer so that it gives the eye a smoother look, and avoids leaving you with the dreaded “I just got socked in the eye” look.

3. Take a very small fluff brush and apply the eyeshadow to lower lashes, pushing the color up into the base of the lash line.

4. Next line your eyes with a black eye pencil like Honeybee Gardens Jojoba Color Eye Liner in Jet Set to the upper and lower lash line. I like to also line the inner eye for more intensity.

5. Curl lashes and then apply your first coat of mascara. Allow to dry and continue to coat the lashes until the desired volume is achieved.

6. Take a makeup wipe and remove any access powder that has dropped under eye. This allows you to be a bit messy.

7. Complete the look with a foundation that gives the skin a fresh feel, apply a subtle cheek and a glossy lip.
