Faye McAuliffe is one of 5 siblings whom I first met when moving to Venice Beach, Ca. All beautiful with such amazing style I am grateful Faye agreed to be profiled for PNB. Faye has one of my favorite blogs ever – http://www.youaretheriver.com/ and Gwenyth Paltrow seems to think so as well. Full of style and smiles Faye is definitely my interior designer to be.

Growing up in a minimalist household full of original art has definitely shaped my design aesthetic, viewing the space that you inhabit, and the objects that you live with, as art.

Brief sojourns in the fine arts at UCR Riverside, fashion design at Otis, and hands-on experience working in the industry as a wardrobe stylist led me to find my real niche and passion, which is interior design. It’s what I’m good at.

I started my blog as a scrapbook for “anything and everything that inspires me” (fashion, food lifestyle, music and– of course– great interiors.) I am constantly redesigning my own space, and have as long as I can remember. Friends and co-workers started asking me for advice on what they could do with their own rooms, homes, offices, and gardens. I love working with them– and their artifacts– helping them to discover their own personal style. Thus in 2010 Faye McAuliffe Design, my design consulting business was born.

What is your idea of earthly happiness? Being content with what I have.

I don’t leave home without? Minted rose lip balm.

Dream Job? Interior designer.

Who are your beauty icons? Kate moss as she always looks stunning and Alexa Chung, she is so effortlessly chic.

What quality do you most admire in a woman? Confidence.

Morning glory or night owl? Morning Glory.

Family beauty secret? Egg white mask, YES it is gross but it does wonders for the skin.

Vegetarian or carnivore? Pescetarian.

What is your signature style? Vintage casual always with a heel.

What Country would you most like to live? Spain as I have always dreamed of living in an old Spanish Villa.

Favorite color? Gray.

Favorite flower? Pincushion.

What Natural/Green/Organic beauty product can’t you live without? Egg white mask.

Mascara or lipstick? Mascara always, I am blonde without it I disappear.

Shower or bath? Depends on if I have had a rough day.

What is your favorite part of your Body? My back.
