My Mission

My Mission

The good news is that makeup has finally gotten a makeover! It is now possible to find a great selection of green and gorgeous natural beauty brands that offer new technology and deliver great results.

As a professional makeup artist who works with high-profile fashion and celebrity clients, no one is more demanding about results. And, for a long time, it was difficult to find natural makeup that worked as well as traditional brands. But after testing literally thousands of products, I can safely say that natural and eco-friendly beauty is not only stylish and sophisticated, the products work beautifully! If they didn’t work, I wouldn’t be able to work with them—shooting magazine covers, advertising campaigns, and celebrities every day.

I’ve brought my awareness about environmental health issues to my Green Makeup Kit as well, because going green is all about taking responsibility for our health and the health of the planet. The natural market is offering more and more possibilities, so it is a really exciting time to go green. My blogs will introduce you to high-performance boutique lines and tell you what mainstream brands offer clean makeup and what products to look for. I’ll share inside tips that I use on my clients. The products I recommend on this site are model-tested, celebrity-tested brands that I use every day in my Green Makeup Kit.

If you are new to natural products, relax. Transition at your own pace, and take baby steps, until you find your comfort zone. There’s no need to throw out the entire contents of your makeup bag. I have to be honest, there are a couple of synthetic-based products—waterproof mascara and eyelash glue–that even I can’t work without, and, until there are natural alternatives, I’ll keep working with them. But I’m confident there will be natural versions eventually as the demand for natural beauty products continues to grow. Until then, let’s all start somewhere, and do what we can to reduce the chemical burden on our planet and our bodies.
