Hi y’all, I’m Christy! I’m so glad you’re here.
I’ve been a makeup artist for as long as I can remember. I pioneered the clean beauty space (with some other amazing men and women!), which won the hearts of incredible clients like Connie Britton, Alessandra Ambrosio, Heidi Klum, Emmy Rossum and Amanda Peet. My work has been featured in truly special campaigns with Ralph Lauren, Nautica and Tommy Hilfiger. Collaborating with photographers Arthur Elgort, Irving Penn, Patrick Demarchelier, and more, my work has appeared in the pages of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, W and Vanity Fair.
After my father passed away from ALS – potentially resulting from exposure to harmful chemicals in rural Texas – I became a well-known clean beauty advocate, and the first top makeup artist to “clean” her kit. This drove me to partner to create Beautycounter, where I served as Chief Artistic Officer, conceptualizing skincare and makeup launches, ensuring that all met my standards, from formula to shade.
So, the reason you’re all here–What am I up to now? Aside from moving back to Texas, rewilding my land, diving into regenerative agriculture and raising a baby deer to reintroduce back to the wild?
Simply put, I’m on a mission to shift the paradigm around “beauty” and release all the negative energy, connotations, stigma and exclusivity that comes with it. I love the beauty world and the power it holds.
But I ask you: How are you activating that power? To enhance your already beautiful superpowers? Or to cover up what you were born to shine with so that you can “fit in”?
My goal here is to create a place where we can open up REAL conversations with the hope of changing even a small part of the world for the better. This is an inclusive space. A loving space. A space where I hope you’ll rediscover all the beautiful, unique things that make you, YOU. And, in the process, connect with yourself through nature and those you love.
